Anouk Mercier is a french artist (born 1984) living and working in Bristol, UK. Her works present fantastical mise-en-scenes inspired by 18th Century architectural and landscape etchings. Composed of hundreds of printed fragments, meticulously assembled and interwoven with delicate pencil work, her practice seamlessly combines drawing, printmaking and airbrushing.
Anouk was shortlisted for the Dentons Art Prize 2019, and the Jerwood Drawing Prize in 2015. She has completed public art commissions for the Office of Public Works Ireland (2020), Chelsea and Westminster Hospital (2019) , as well as Trust New Arts (2018). Her work is held in Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery, and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Collections.
